Building Baptist Health System’s new Heart Hospital presented challenges beyond the unique intricacies of crafting a facility specializing in heart care. The site was a fully functioning — and very busy — hospital that was constrained by both urban development and the mighty St. 约翰河.

The project scope included more than a 200,000-square-foot addition for heart surgery, cardiac diagnostics and patient care. It incorporated an additional 20,000-square-foot emergency room renovation, six-level parking structure and freestanding helipad. Each part needed to come online within cost and schedule expectations and without disruption to the hospital’s current operations.
